It was the summer of 1994. I was off the coast of Louisiana on a jack-up drilling rig filming for a marketing film for one of the largest oilfield services companies. While checking-in and reviewing the rig's safety/evacuation procedures, we were met by the Tool Pusher. He give my client a hard plastic case that had his company's name on it. There was a pad-lock on the case which one of the technicians had a key. He opened the case and to my surprise everything in the case was dry and in working order. The case was lost a month earlier when one of their crews was transferring from a work boat to the rig in foul-weather. The case was from Pelican Products.
Since then I have purchase over a hundred cases. From the smallest to their largest. Everyone is still in service.
