The 32-city Sound Advice Tour: Audio for Filmmakers workshop is designed specifically for filmmakers and video editors, this all-day workshop will teach you expert techniques for working with audio at every stage of your film. From recording to mixing, to fixing problems in post, cutting dialogue, and adding sizzle with sound effects, you will acquire new skills and learn how to use powerful yet inexpensive tools that will expand your audio expertise.
Yesterday I spent 9.5 hours in a workshop lead by Mark Edward Lewis. He was full of reminders, tips and tricks. The section on creating custom sound effects and foley recording was very interesting. It's one more layer that will add greater depth to a project. It was nice to see some of the newer software that can help salvage audio tracks that otherwise might be lost.
The videos of the workshop can be purchased here. They are well worth the money.
